Hemp seed is a great source of the essential fatty acids Omega-3 & Omega-6 Linoleic Acid.
It's a superior source of amino acids and it's protein is second to raw soybeans.
The history of hemp seeds dates back to at least 5000bc, where it's first recorded use was by the ancient Chinese. If there ever was an "ancient Chinese secret", then they must've been talking about hemp.
Hemp food contain 35% carbohydrates, 30% fat, 35% fiber, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, and vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B6, C, D, and in particular vitamin E, and only about 8% saturated fat.
Hemp seed contains 25%-31% protein, which is second only to soy. Soy contains about 35% protein. However - the hemp protein is more digestable. It contains the globular (edible) proteins albuumin and edistin, which are very similar to proteins that are made by the blood.
Hemp foods contain all 20 known amino acids, including: Leucine, Lysine, Threoine, Phentyro, Valine, Meethcyst, Isoleucin, and Tryptophan, with higher amounts of each than many other sources of protein.
